With the wind in your hair and as you breathe in the purest Irish Sea air, stand atop Fair Head Sea Cliff and savor the breathtaking views from Dragonstone Castle. This is where Jon Snow first met Daenerys ‘Mother of Dragons’ – remember that scene in season 7 where Jon reached out to touch Khalessi’s dragon. Next you are off along narrow twisting country lane ways to Murlough Bay passing through early cottage settlements known locally as Clachans and where deer & sheep roam wild. Murlough Bay is steeped in history and surrounded by spectacular landscapes; it is the place that time truly did forget. Film location for Slavers Bay & Renlys Camp. Other key film locations include Cushendun Sea Caves where Melisandre gave birth to the Shadow Baby. Ballintoy Harbor, also known as the Iron Islands, where they filmed the memorable scene where Theon renewed his faith to the ‘Drowned God’. Downhill Beach & view of Mussenden Temple, where Melisandre burns the seven gods’ effigies – the ‘Lord of Light’. Your guide will also show you exclusive behind-the-scenes video clips, notebooks and photographs from the actual filming days. Afterwards enjoy lunch in a local hotel called The Cuan, where the cast would stay when filming in Winterfell. In the Cuan you will find the first of ten Doors made from the fallen beech trees from The Dark Hedges, which were uprooted by Storm Gertrude in January 2016. Each door has been intricately designed and carved to represent a different episode from Game of Thrones, Season 6. The Hill of Tara is an archaeological complex that contains a number of ancient monuments, and, according to tradition, was the seat of Árd Rí na hÉireann, or the High King of Ireland.
