On along the coast to Split, then via Trogir to spectacular Plitvice Lakes National Park. Visit Postojna Cave, one of the largest in Europe, and on to picturesque Bled in the Julian Alps. DAY 1 ARRIVE IN BELGRADE, SERBIA: Welcome to Belgrade, the Serbian capital. You will be transferred to your hotel, where the rest of the day is free to relax or begin exploring on your own. Tonight, gather with your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a Welcome Reception. Hotel Name: Hotel Moskva, or Metropol

DAY 2 BELGRADE SIGHTSEEING & FREE TIME: A morning tour with a Local Guide includes views of Republic Square, Saint Sava Temple and Tito’s Memorial. Visit imposing Kalemegdan Fortress, set at the Sava and Danube Rivers. The afternoon is free to continue exploring at your own pace, shop or people watch in Terazije Square. Tonight, enjoy dinner with live music in the old Bohemian quarter of Skadarlija.

DAY 3 BELGRADE / PODGORICA, MONTENEGRO / DUBROVNIK, CROATIA: Take a short flight to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, then on by motorcoach to Cetinje, at the foot of Mount Lovcen. Next, a steep road takes you down to the Bay of Kotor, the longest and deepest fjord in Southern Europe. Cross into Croatia and head to Dubrovnik.

DAY 4 DUBROVNIK SIGHTSEEING & FREE TIME: On a walking tour with a Local Guide, see the Bell Tower Clock, Sponza Palace and the Dominican Monastery. Visit the Rector’s Palace and the Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, one of the world’s oldest. The rest of the day is free. You might want to amble along the ancient city wall or shop for delicious Croatian chocolate.

DAY 5 DUBROVNIK / SPLIT: Travel along the coast to Split. Enjoy a city tour with a Local Guide featuring Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace. Then see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic buildings, Jupiter’s Temple and the Peristyle.

DAY 6 SPLIT / PLITVICE LAKES: Head to Trogir, a European center for artistic activities. Then turn inland and travel to awe-inspiring Plitvice Lakes National Park. Take a walking tour with a Local Guide and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of terraced lakes and lush vegetation.

DAY 7 PLITVICE LAKES / POSTOJNA, SLOVENIA / BLED: Return to the coast and travel along the bay of Kvarner to the popular resort of Opatija. After some free time, head north to Postojna. Here, tour one of the largest caves in Europe by miniature electric train. Continue to scenic Bled set in the Julian Alps.

DAY 8 BLED SIGHTSEEING & FREE TIME: A sightseeing tour of Bled features the charming town and the lakeshore, and visits imposing Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. The balance of the day is at leisure to explore on your own, stroll along the lake, shop, sit back in a café and nibble on Bled cream cake or perhaps join an optional excursion visiting the small island in the middle of the lake.

DAY 9 BLED / LJUBLJANA / ZAGREB, CROATIA: Travel to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, and take a walking tour. See the sights of the old city center, including the open-air Central Market, Three Bridges, Baroque Town Hall and Robba’s Fountain. Then, head back to Croatia and its capital city Zagreb.

DAY 10 ZAGREB SIGHTSEEING & FREE TIME: Take a city tour with a Local Guide featuring views of the historic Upper Town, the Government Palace and St. Mark’s Church, and visit the Cathedral.
